Pre-K / Four's Program
Our four’s or Pre-K program is designed to bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten. The Pre-K students are fine tuning their skills. They are writing their name, counting, recognizing shapes, colors, math skills such as counting, patterns, time, sequencing and matching. Students are able to cut, glue, follow simple 3-4 step instructions. Sight words are introduced. Science and how things work are explored through hands on activities and the scholastic magazine. They are becoming more independent. They are able to express their needs and care for many of their own needs. Students have classroom jobs. Technology is incorporated into the classroom to support hands on learning. They are learning about different occupations and their community. Students are learning about negotiating conflicts, and showing empathy. They are learning about how their actions and choices affect those around them in an environment that nurtures and honors the uniqueness of the individual child.
